Four MTN Elite One and four MTN Elite Two teams have qualified for the quarterfinals of the 2018 Cup of Cameroon football billed for this Saturday, 25 and Sunday, 26 August.

Eding Sport of la Lekié thrashed last year’s cup winner New Star de Douala 2-1, Union de Douala defeated Canon of Yaounde 3-1, Unisport du Haut Nkam humbled Yong Sports Academy 1-0 and Coton Sport eliminated Colombe du Dja et Lobo on a 2-0 score to obtain their qualification tickets.

MTN Elite Two will be represented in the competition by Panthère du Nde, winner of the cup in 2009, Lion Blessé de Foutouni, Renaissance de Ngoumou who disgraced Federal du Noun 6-0, and the newly promulgated Elite One side Tonnerre Kalara Club of Yaounde. Draws to produce the quarterfinal fixtures were conducted on Wednesday after our magazine had already gone to press.
